UMER Workshop 2009
New Items Added
Goals. In the last two years, UMER’s performance has progressed to a level where a rich program of space charge related beam physics is possible. As a consequence, we are ready to explore the near and long term potential of the machine and to enlist the participation of interested experts in developing our plans.
The goals of the workshop are to:
- Develop a list of cutting edge, relevant and appropriate experiments utilizing UMER’s unique capabilities.
- Survey the equipment additions and machine upgrades that will further enable the next generation of experiments.
- Explore opportunities for collaboration in experiments and in theoretical and simulation activities.
Dates and Agenda. The workshop will begin Thursday October 15 at 8:30 AM and end on Friday Oct. 16 at 1:30 PM, and will be held on the University of Maryland, College Park, MD campus. All meetings, lunches, and coffee breaks will be held in Rm. 1146 in the AV Williams Building (see map). The Thursday dinner will be held at the UMUC Inn & Conference Center (by Marriott).
