ENEE 686 offered Fall 2011

Prof. Rami Kishek will be teaching ENEE 686 ('Charged Particle Dynamics') in the Fall 2011 Semester.
Charged particle beams are complex nonlinear systems that have important
applications in physics, biosciences, medicine, and nanotechnology.

This course introduces the basic dynamics of beams. Topics Covered:
  • design of accelerators and theoretical models
  • beam diagnostics
  • computational techniques
  • microwave sources & free electron lasers
  • plasma accelerators
