BPM Calibration Data

Beam position in the horizontal plane is determined by dividing the difference of the two horizontal (right and left) signals by their sum and applying the offset and resolution factors determined in calibration. Since X and Y are decoupled, repeating the process with the vertical (top and bottom) signals creates an XY pair at which the beam centroid lies. The equations are: X = (Right-Left)/(C(Right+Left))-B/C and Y = (Top-Bottom)/(C(Top+Bottom))-B/C Where Right, Left, Top and Bottom are the voltages measured from the corresponding signal plate, C (slope) is the calibration number and B (X-intercept) is the offset number.

I fixed three typos in RC17 and RC2 that had the calibration factor as 0.7 or 0.8 (rather than 0.07 or 0.08). Added a line listing the average values of calibrated BPMS - can use these for RC7 and RC8 which do not have calibrations. Note that the vertical should be (T-B)/(T+B) [seems inccorect in the comment below the table]. Note also that the horizontal yields a positive x towards the center of the ring, OPPOSITE the convention used in WARP.
